City Light Vineyard

To bring the love of God to our community not just in word but in power and presence.

A city on a Hill cannot be hidden

Matthew 5:14

City Light Vineyard . God placed a vision in their hearts to plant a church in Cheviot, beginning with a small group of believers.

That vision became City Light Vineyard—a church rooted in love, truth, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

James and Gifty believe that Jesus paid the price for our shortcomings and opened the door to the Kingdom of God. Their mission is to bring the LOVE of GOD to the community—not just in word, but in power and presence.

Meet Our Founders: Pastors James & Gifty Rowland

James and Gifty Rowland have been faithfully serving in ministry since their youth, united by a shared passion for Jesus and a heart for people. Over the past 15 years of marriage, they have walked side by side in their calling—James as a youth pastor and Bible teacher, and Gifty as a worship leader and leadership trainer.

Their journey has been marked by a deep desire to see lives transformed by the love of God. With a burden for the broken and a conviction that Jesus is the answer, they have dedicated their lives to sharing the hope and healing found in Christ.

Our Heartbeat

At the core of City Light Vineyard is a desire for people to:

  • Encounter the love of Jesus
  • Experience the power of the Holy Spirit
  • Be restored and empowered to walk in their God-given purpose

Pastors James and Gifty invite you to be part of this journey—to discover the hope of Christ, grow in faith, and become a light in the world.

Jesus Christ
They affirm the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and future return in glory.
